General Chavalit Yongchaiyudh, Thailand's 22nd Prime Minister, who made significant contributions to the country and its people, is gravely ill and currently hospitalized at Phramongkut Hospital.
General Chavalit is 92 years old and about to turn 93. Friends and companions who wish to visit, please do so quickly. Even if you can’t enter, it would still be good to inquire about his condition."

However, Ms. Naranit Yongchaiyudh, General Chavalit’s granddaughter, responded to the post with clarification:

"Over the past weekend, my grandfather was still in good spirits, spending time happily with his great-grandchildren. Currently, he has some wounds on his body and is at Phramongkut Hospital for a biopsy and wound care.
