On November 6, Thailand's Labor Minister Pipat Ratchakitprakarn and his team launched a "Kick-Off" event in Mae Sai, Chiang Rai, to provide free electrical repairs in homes affected by recent flooding. The initiative aims to restore safety and alleviate difficulties for residents as part of broader flood recovery efforts. The event was attended by local officials, including Acting Governor Chotinarin Kerdsom and Deputy Governor Damrongsak Yodthongdee, alongside volunteer electricians from the community.

Following October's emergency employment program, which hired 400 flood-affected locals for immediate cleanup efforts, this electrical repair project marks the next phase of the Labor Ministry's support. Organized with the Department of Skill Development and volunteer tradespeople, it provides vital repairs for damaged wiring in homes and businesses, enhancing safety and living conditions for residents.

Minister Pipat expressed gratitude for the cooperation of all involved sectors—labor networks, government, private companies, and volunteers. He announced plans to use this "Chiang Rai Model" as a template for similar recovery projects in other flood-affected provinces.

The minister also received donated supplies from Home Product Center PCL, provided unemployment benefits to affected workers under Section 33 of the Social Security Act, and participated in community activities. These included food preparation, motorcycle maintenance, and visits to affected families, all aimed at uplifting community morale and aiding in comprehensive recovery.
