On November 7, Thai police, led by National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanphet and Central Investigation Bureau Chief Pol. Lt. Gen. Jiraphop Bhuridej, secured arrest warrants for lawyer Sittra Biabungkerd, also known as "Lawyer Tam," and his wife, Patitta Biabungkerd. The charges against Sittra include fraud, money laundering, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and collusion involving multiple parties. His wife, Patitta, faces similar charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The arrests follow a complaint from a woman, Madam Oi, who alleged that Sittra had defrauded her. At noon, police apprehended Sittra and his wife while they were driving a brown Porsche Cayenne in Bang Khla district, Chachoengsao province. The couple was taken to the Central Investigation Bureau for further legal proceedings.
