On November 7, the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), under Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, launched the Thailand Space Week 2024 event in partnership with international organizations at Impact Muang Thong Thani, Halls 9-10. This significant event showcases space-related technologies and innovations from both the public and private sectors, as well as universities.
Among the highlights is the model of the lunar lander "Vikram," part of India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission, which successfully landed on the Moon in August 2023. Additionally, visitors can view an engineering model of the THEOS-3 satellite and related technology developments.
Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Prasert Chantraruangthong, officiated the opening, emphasizing Thailand's commitment to establishing itself as a regional space technology leader. He noted that the event is a crucial step for advancing science, technology, and economic growth in both Thailand and the ASEAN region.
Thailand Space Week 2024 is open to the public with free admission from November 7-9, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Impact Muang Thong Thani, Halls 9-10.
