On November 8, police responded to a major accident on Phetkasem Road, Prachuap Khiri Khan, where a tour bus collided with a catering truck carrying banquet equipment. The crash left five people injured, including two seriously, and caused traffic congestion on the southbound lanes near the Pranburi-Hua Hin bypass.
The accident involved a first-class air-conditioned tour bus carrying 20 passengers, none of whom were injured. The catering truck, an Isuzu carrying party equipment, was found overturned on the median with scattered supplies and a broken utility pole nearby. All five injured were passengers on the truck, with rescue teams providing first aid and transporting them to local hospitals.
Initial investigation revealed that Jarun, the catering truck driver, had been attempting to return home after an event when he attempted to overtake in the left lane, resulting in a sudden collision with the bus. Meanwhile, bus driver Seree reported that he had been driving in the far-right lane when the catering truck unexpectedly cut in front, leading to the impact. The tour company arranged alternative transportation to continue the journey for the bus passengers.
