At approximately 2:40 PM on November 14, a bombing incident occurred at the Tanyong Dalo bridge in Yaring district, Pattani province, Thailand. Police Colonel Theerapot Yindi, head of the Yaring police station, responded to the report and led officers to the scene. The attack injured five officers from Border Patrol Police 446. The injured officers include Police Sergeant Major Preecha Kotne, who sustained shrapnel wounds to the head and face; Police Lieutenant Vinai Chai, Police Sergeant Major Anon Laemae, Police Corporal Kittipoom Morakot, and Police Corporal Muhammad Musadi, all of whom reported chest pains and ringing in their ears. All injured personnel were transported to Yaring Hospital for medical treatment.
Initial investigations revealed that the unknown perpetrators planted an explosive device in a motorcycle parked on the bridge. The bomb detonated as the officers returned from transporting equipment in a six-wheeled truck, injuring those onboard. Authorities suspect that the attack aimed to incite unrest in the region.
