On November 14, 2024, officials inspected 18 massage parlors in a shopping center in the Lat Phrao area, uncovering violations in five establishments. A total of 21 foreign workers were found illegally employed in massage services, leading to legal actions against 25 individuals, including employers and workers.

Details of Violations:

1. Illegal Entry and Work Without Permits: Five Myanmar nationals were charged for working without valid work permits and for illegal entry.

2. Unauthorized Work: Sixteen Myanmar nationals were charged for performing work outside the scope of their work permits.

3. Employer Charges: Four employers were charged for hiring undocumented workers or allowing them to work beyond their authorized roles.

The arrests and charges align with government and Royal Thai Police policies to regulate foreign labor and prevent unauthorized employment that could disadvantage Thai workers. The Immigration Bureau continues to enforce stricter measures to address these violations.
