On November 19, executives from Thai League football clubs convened to finalize adjustments to the foreign player quota for the 2025/26 season. The changes aim to align with Asian club championship standards and elevate the league's competitive level.

The key agreements are as follows:

  1. Clubs may register up to 7 foreign players (excluding ASEAN players) with no limit on ASEAN players.
  2. During matches, clubs may field up to 5 foreign players (excluding ASEAN players), 2 ASEAN players, and the remaining players must be Thai.

This ensures that a maximum of 7 foreign players can be on the field, with at least 4 Thai players included. Notably, while the total foreign player quota remains unchanged, the limit for ASEAN players on the field has been reduced to 2, and clubs can field up to 5 players from non-ASEAN countries.
