On November 19, at the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, Air Chief Marshal Praphas Sonjaidee, spokesperson for the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF), announced plans to restructure the Air Force to protect Thailand’s national interests in aerospace, valued at over 29 billion baht annually. This sector supports over 35,600 operations and employs 1.6 million people.

A new "Aerospace and Air Defense Coordination Center" will be established under the Air Force Operations Command, effective April 1, 2025. The center will be directly overseen by the Air Chief of Staff and serve as a liaison unit both within and outside the RTAF.

Key structural changes for 2025 include drafting legislation to rename the "Royal Thai Air Force" to the "Royal Thai Air and Space Force." Once approved by the Ministry of Defense, the proposal will proceed to Parliament for further consideration.
