On November 22, reports from Phatthalung province indicate that flooding remains severe in multiple areas due to continuous heavy rainfall. Authorities have issued repeated warnings to residents, urging preparedness and instructing government agencies to provide 24-hour assistance. All waterfall and mountain tourist sites in the province have been temporarily closed as a precaution.
In Mueang District and Phatthalung Municipality, many residents are still suffering from floodwaters inundating their homes. Roads in areas such as the Ban Nang Lat and Ban Lat Nuea communities have also been affected, with water levels on some streets reaching approximately 20 centimeters. Motorists face difficulties navigating submerged roads, and schools in the municipality have suspended classes for at least one day due to safety concerns and high water levels on their premises. Further closures will depend on weather and water conditions.
Additionally, authorities have warned residents downstream of Tha Nae Weir in Khuan Khanun and Si Banphot districts to prepare for potential flooding later in the evening, as officials plan to release water from the weir to manage overflow.
