On November 22, Ms. Sabida Thaiseht, Deputy Minister of Interior, and Mr. Chada Thaiseht, Uthai Thani MP, presided over the opening of Stone Street Market, a new tourist attraction in Ban Rai District, Uthai Thani Province. The market, created through collaboration between government agencies, private sectors, and local residents, aims to rejuvenate the local economy and tourism following severe flash floods in the district on October 19.
The event featured a lively parade showcasing local culture, including performers, merchants, and contestants for Miss Queen Stone Street 2024. More than 50 vendors offered local goods, food, and handmade products, emphasizing the area’s unique traditions.
Stone Street Market operates every Friday and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, offering affordable management fees for vendors, ranging from 50 to 100 baht. This vibrant venue has received positive feedback from visitors since its launch and is expected to play a significant role in reviving grassroots economic activities.
