On November 23, at 1:00 PM, Mrs. Jaruwan Vanasin, 79, and Ms. Nalin Vanasin, 51, the wife and daughter of Dr. Boon Vanasin, surrendered to the Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) in Bangkok. Both are named in arrest warrants on charges of public fraud and fraudulent lending as guarantors in several contracts tied to Dr. Boon's investment schemes.
Their lawyer, Mr. Chamnan Chadit, stated that his clients claim their signatures on the contracts were forged and that they were unaware of the loans associated with these documents until legal actions emerged. Upon inspection, Mrs. Jaruwan confirmed she neither borrowed money nor signed as a guarantor. The lawyer suggested the possibility that the forged signatures might be Dr. Boon's, given his name appeared in the contracts.
The lawyer also revealed that Mrs. Jaruwan and Dr. Boon had divorced, though the exact timeline of their separation remains unclear. The case is part of an ongoing investigation into financial fraud tied to Dr. Boon's alleged schemes.
