On November 6, Samut Prakan immigration officials, led by Pol. Maj. Gen. Natthakorn Prapayon, conducted a raid on a migrant worker camp in Bang Chalong, Bang Phli district, in coordination with investigative officers. The operation aimed to verify legal documentation, including passports and work permits. Upon inspection, 25 migrant workers—15 from Myanmar and 10 from Cambodia—were found residing in the camp without proper authorization.

The migrants admitted to entering Thailand illegally via unofficial border crossings to seek work. They were subsequently charged under Section 81 of Thailand’s Immigration Act of 1979 for staying in the country without permission. All detainees were transferred to the Bang Phli Police Station for further processing.

Pol. Col. Sumet Janwongpitak, Superintendent of Samut Prakan Immigration, urged the public to report any suspicious behavior involving foreigners to immigration authorities, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in maintaining security.
